John Vaal Apparel started in 2017 with a simple vision: to provide premium quality custom tailoring in Kampala. What began as a small tailoring shop has grown into Uganda's leading suits center, and we're now striving to become the best in the entire region.

With over 5 years of experience, we've established ourselves as leaders in custom-made suits and kaftans. Our expertise extends to event styling, corporate uniforms, and a complete range of fashion accessories - all crafted with the meticulous attention to detail that has become our signature.

Our Journey

2017

Our Humble Beginning

Founded as a small tailoring shop in Kampala with just two tailors and a single sewing machine. Our first customer was a local businessman who needed a custom suit for an important meeting.

2018

First Major Expansion

Moved to a larger workshop and hired three additional tailors to meet growing demand. Introduced our first line of kaftans which quickly became popular for weddings and special occasions.

2019

Corporate Uniforms Division

Launched our corporate uniforms service, securing contracts with several prominent Ugandan companies. This marked our transition from individual clients to serving businesses as well.

2020

Recognition & Awards

Recognized as "Emerging Fashion Business of the Year" by the Uganda Fashion Council. Surpassed 2,000 customers served and expanded our fabric selection to include premium imports.

2022

5,000 Customers Milestone

Celebrated serving our 5,000th customer and expanded our team to 15 skilled tailors and designers. Introduced our event styling service to provide complete fashion solutions.
